The original Professional Carpet Systems was founded in 1978, in Georgia, by brothers Joe and John Lunsford. Jean Beason, their mother, was an accomplished chemist. Applying her expertise as a chemist, their goal was to extend carpet life while the carpet was still in good condition, but the appearance was unacceptable due to fading, or the color was no longer what the consumer wanted.
After years of research and testing, Jean Beason invented a unique, on-location dyeing system. After extensive testing, her sons launched Professional Carpet Systems. Their system was immediately embraced in the market place, and the company became a huge success.
